Abbey Erquiaga
Abbey is an Idaho native, and at an early age developed a heart for public service. Abbey has spent more than 11 years working in agencies that support both educators and public education in Idaho.
Abbey currently serves as the Associate Director for the Center for School and Community Partnerships (CSCP) at Boise State University, a department committed to developing and fostering partnerships in order to support the provision of technical assistance and professional development to Idaho’s schools and districts. Prior to her work at Boise State, Abbey spent almost five years at the Idaho State Department of Education, where her work with schools and districts provided a deeper understanding of education in Idaho and connected her to others across the State doing critical work for Idaho’s kids.
In addition to her position at BSU, Abbey also serves as Chairman of the Board for Idaho Education News, an appointment that allows her to intertwine her passion for education with her desire to contribute to her community through service to others.
Abbey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Boise State University and will graduate in May 2021 with a Master’s degree in Education Leadership from Boise State University.
Abbey enjoys simple things: reading a good book, tackling a tough workout at the gym, and sharing good food/conversation/music with even better friends. More than anything else, Abbey loves spending time with her husband and two daughters.
